Acute Care Models - Virtual Hospital

Medway NHS Foundation Trust is setting a new benchmark for virtual care in the NHS. Partnering with Feebris, the Trust has cut care costs to a third of in-hospital rates, saved over 1,500 bed days in a single month, and built a blueprint for the UK's first regional virtual hospital.

The Norfolk & Waveney University Hospitals Group and Norfolk Community Health & Care Trust run a nationally recognised virtual ward programme, covering >50 pathways for paediatric and adult patients. The NNUH virtual ward alone, which was originally created to enable patients to continue their recovery from Covid-19 at home, has saved over 50,000 bed days to date.
